EDEN Baked Beans with Sorghum & Mustard are navy beans cooked in a delicious sweet and savory sauce, a traditional baked bean dish that's expertly prepared at our certified organic, circle k kosher cannery. Beans are soaked overnight and thoroughly cooked with carefully selected ingredients: organic sorghum molasses, organic tomato puree, stone ground organic mustard, organic spices, purified water and a touch of EDEN sea salt. Our navy beans are selected at the farm through our dedicated network of organic family growers. The growers' constant care and vital organic soil produce the world's most appealing and nutritious food.

Navy beans (Phaseolus vulgaris) are the roundest and smallest of the white beans. They are THE bean of choice for baked beans, a favorite American dish since colonial days in Boston where navy beans slowly cooked in molasses first became popular. EDEN Baked Beans are the most delicious and nourishing version of this traditional dish. An excellent source of fiber, iron, magnesium, and a good source of protein, calcium, phosphorus and zinc, they are also a source of important B vitamins (B1, B2, B3).

Most seasoned beans contain refined sugar, harsh salt, chemical processing aids, preservatives, and meat products. Commercial canners put chemicals in with beans to harden the skins so that they won’t fall apart in the can as they cook. They also add a chemical to hold the color. Our organic beans come out perfect with none of these additives. Because of the vital soil that produces them, their much higher mineral content and stronger skins allow them to be cooked without need of processing chemicals, and their vibrant colors hold fast. Our cannery, Meridian Foods located in East central Indiana has a long standing reputation for putting out cooked canned beans of a better quality, fill, and finish than any other cannery in the United States.
