How Tropical Traditions Skin Care Products are Different

Filipinos are well-known for their youthful appearance and soft skin, even though they live in a climate that exposes them to the sun's rays year round. Coconut oil is their main dietary oil, and is also the main ingredient in their skin care products.

All of the skin care products that Tropical Traditions offers are made with organic Virgin Coconut Oil and Virgin Palm Oil. No other products on the market are made with finer oils as their base. Tropical Traditions Virgin Coconut Oil is traditionally made from fresh organic coconuts, and independent laboratory tests show that it has a higher level of antioxidants than other coconut oils.

Virgin Palm Oil contains high concentrations of a powerful form of Vitamin E called "tocotrienols" which published research has shown is 40-60 times more potent than alpha-tocopherol (the most common form of Vitamin E found as an additive in most skin care products.) In addition to these powerful Vitamin E tocotrienols, Virgin Palm Oil is also rich in natural carotenes. It is one of the richest natural plant sources of carotenes with concentrations of 500-700 ppm. It is 15 times more retinol-equivalent than carrots and 300 times more than tomatoes, for example.

I am using my first bottle of Tropical Traditions "Baby Silk" Moisturizing Lotion for hand face and body and I absolutely love it! I use it on my face religiously morning and bedtime and I can't believe the difference in my skin. It is sooo soft and my face has a special "glow" to it now. It is not greasy either. Other Ingredients

In addition to using only the best oils available for the skin, all other ingredients used in Tropical Traditions Skin Care Products are 100% natural. Our hand-made creams, lotions and lip moisturizers contain no alcohols, no artificial fragrances, and no petroleum products. Because we recognize that many have sensitivities to fragrances, each product has an unscented version. For those products that are scented, we only use high quality organic essential oils imported from France which are distilled with low temperature and low pressure over an extended period of time. Low temperature and lower pressure have proven to be the most effective method of obtaining all of the essential constituents from the plant, and provide our products with the very best quality fragrances available. Just wanted to say that I received my order yesterday for the new moisturizers (Baby Silk & Citrus). I just love the Baby Silk. I'm using it all over my body...face, hands, legs, etc. I am extremely happy with it. It is really nice to have it in a cream formula with the added essential oils. Natural Soaps

The key to any healthy, natural soap is the oil that is used as the base. Tropical Traditions soaps are made with Organic Virgin Coconut Oil as their base, and the scented varieties use only high-quality organic essential oils. There are very few soaps made from 100% coconut oil, and most soaps on the market today that are made from coconut oil are made from highly refined versions of these oils, and may contain chemical solvents that were used in the refining process.

Natural Liquid Soaps

Most liquid soaps you find have added ingredients to make them thicker in consistency. Tropical Traditions Natural Liquid Soaps are made from 100% organic Virgin Coconut Oil, and nothing else. The scented varieties have organic essential oils added. These are packaged in a special foam pump dispenser that adds air to the soap, causing a rich lather of foam to come out.

Because of this special foam dispenser, and a pure liquid soap with no added fillers or thickening agents, you get more uses per container. Use our economical 32 oz. refill sizes to refill your pump dispensers.

Hair Oils

Tropical Traditions has formulated three different hair oils using our organic Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil along with other high quality organic oils known to nourish hair. Along with the base of organic Gold Label Virgin Coconut Oil, we included organic jojoba oil, organic macadamia nut oil, organic rosehip oil, organic shea butter, and organic carrot seed oil in each formulation. Two of the formulations are scented with the highest quality organic essential oils available, imported from France: Rosemary and Lavender. There are no other ingredients besides these high quality organic oils: NO SILICONES, NO SULFATES, and NO ALCOHOLS.

Ingredients: organic jojoba, organic Gold Label Standard Virgin Coconut Oil, organic macadamia nut oil, organic rosehip oil, organic shea butter, and organic carrot seed oil. Rosemary also contains organic rosemary essential oil and Lavender contains organic lavender essential oil.
