Organic Heirloom Carrots
Our organic carrots are certified organic carrots grown in the fertile hills and valleys in western Wisconsin by small-scale family farmers. We currently have two organic heirloom varieties available: organic heirloom Napoli carrots (smaller), and organic heirloom St. Valery carrots (larger).
The farmers use a green house in the winter to extend the carrot growing season, usually through March. Most organic carrots you buy in grocery stores come from areas near the desert in central California from large commercial carrot operations. Western Wisconsin offers much more fertile soil because the four seasons and harsh winters that allow for the natural death of organic plant life that returns nutrient rich organic matter to the soil each year. Our farmers also practice sustainable farming practices by rotating crops and livestock every season, carefully managing the soil. We ship the Napoli organic carrots to you fresh with the tops still attached.

Note: Produce items are shipped directly from the farm on Monday through Wednesday each week. Combine with other Wisconsin farm products into one shipment! These products cannot be shipped to APO, FPO, or DPO military addresses.
