Organic Black Beans

Black Beans
29 oz. can

EDEN Organic Black Beans are U.S.A. family organically grown by those dedicated to cleansing the environment and producing the best tasting, most nutritious food. Decades organic vital soil gives us much more vital beans that contain more minerals and allows us to cook them without, what we consider toxic, 'processing' chemicals.

EDEN Beans have twice received the highest ranking in comparisons of brands by Nutrition Action Healthletter, most recently in 1999. Every flavor of EDEN beans was recognized as having superior nutrition including fiber and sodium, and the authors gave a special mention to EDEN's "delicious … healthy seasoned beans that you can eat straight out of the can."

EDEN Beans are the most appealing and nourishing because they're grown in living soil, free of pesticides, herbicides and chemical fertilizers for decades. Such organically grown beans are perfect food. Most canned beans are loaded with refined sugar, refined salt, dyes and chemical preservatives and additives.

Commercial canners put chemicals in with beans to harden the skins so that they won't fall apart in the can as they cook. They also add a chemical to hold the color. Our organic beans come out perfect with none of these additives. Because of the vital soil that produces them, their much higher mineral content and stronger skins allow them to be cooked without need of processing chemicals, and their vibrant colors hold fast. Our cannery, Meridian Foods located in East central Indiana has a long standing reputation for putting out cooked canned beans of a better quality, fill, and finish than any other cannery in the United States.

Beans are an important source of two essential amino acids not found in cereals, lysine and threonine. Whole grains complement beans and together deliver complete protein. Enjoying a variety of beans in combination with whole grain is a good step toward healthy living.

Ingredients: Organic Black Turtle Beans, Water, Kombu Seaweed
