A thick, rich sauce that's perfect for pizza or pasta made from organically grown tomatoes, organic extra virgin olive oil, a touch of organic honey, sea salt and a mouth watering blend of organic herbs and organic spices. Pizza Pasta Sauce is made from some of the finest vine ripened organically grown tomatoes. Our tomatoes are grown in dark humus, nutrient rich organic soil, carefully tended and harvested. They are cooked by the Hirzel family of northern Ohio who have packed tomatoes for over 10 years. The vital soil, grower’s care, and expert cooking make their tomatoes some of the most delicious and nourishing around.

Pizza Pasta Sauce is made with whole tomatoes, the finest quality non irradiated herbs and spices, and never any ‘processing aids.’ We do not peel our tomatoes because the whole tomato offers the best flavor and all the nourishment that nature intended. Rich in vitamin C and potent antioxidant nutrients including beta carotene (vitamin A) and lycopene. A good source of dietary fiber and potassium. A source of protein, calcium, iron, vitamins B1, B2 and B3, phosphorus, and magnesium. Low carb and low calorie.

Lycopene, a carotenoid, is a powerful antioxidant that gives tomatoes and other fruits and vegetables their red color.

Other pizza and pasta sauces may be made from synthetically ‘fed’, force ripened, genetically engineered tomatoes that travel hundreds of miles before processing. To loosen the skin for peeling they are bathed in lye or other caustic solution, then loaded with refined salt, refined sugar, irradiated herbs and spices, and preservatives.
